About this time last year, we had a funny experience involving a fruit cake and a taxi cab. It was one of those "everyday miracles" as I like to call them. The kind that reminds you God cares for your most mundane and inconsequential needs/wishes even when you've forgotten to bring them to Him. Actually, the fruit cake miracle was the second such experience we'd had that year; I just didn't blog about the first one. That first one happened the day after we'd moved into our condo in September. We knew we were going to have to buy a vacuum cleaner and couldn't quite figure that into the budget. When we arrived home that night, there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the lobby by the elevator with a note tied around it's neck that read: Free To a Good Home. And it worked!
Well, a similar thing happened again last week and I thought I'd share. Andre and I keep saying that we really need more drinking glasses as we never seem to have enough when guests come. We've been meaning to rectify the situation but just haven't got around to buying more. One day last week a package showed up outside our front door with our address on it, but someone else's name. We called the phone number on the box which turned out to be Pottery Barn. They said it was a promotion they were doing and we were free to use whatever was in the package ourselves. Lo and behold, upon opening it up, we found these:
Now that's what I call PROVIDENTIAL!
