This morning (at 6:45 am!) Andre and I headed out to watch the Peachtree Road Race for the first time. We met some friends from church and although we missed the wheel-chair racers, who I was so looking forward to seeing, we got there in plenty of time to see the first runners come through, most of whom were professional runners, from Kenya. However it was an Ethiopian guy (who we saw running a little behind the Kenyan group) who actually won the race. We saw him on TV this evening. One of the most interesting and fun parts of the whole event was how many people we knew running! In all, there were about 12 people from church we were able to identify (amid 55,000 runners) and cheer for! Congrats everyone!
